No Artist - Song Sparrow

Review by Lucia Fernandes

Song Sparrow is a stunning album that showcases the beauty and complexity of nature through music. Despite being credited to No Artist, the album is a collaboration between various musicians and sound artists who have come together to create an immersive sonic experience that transports the listener to a world of birdsongs, rustling leaves, and flowing water.

From the opening track "Dawn Chorus," which captures the sounds of birds waking up in the morning, to the hauntingly beautiful "Nightfall," which evokes the stillness and mystery of the night, Song Sparrow is a masterful blend of field recordings, ambient textures, and subtle melodies.

One standout track is "Rainforest," which uses a combination of bird calls, tribal drums, and atmospheric pads to create a sense of being deep in the heart of a lush jungle. Another highlight is "Migration," which features a pulsing bassline and shimmering synths that mimic the movement of birds flying in formation.
