Love the horns?
first tune Sounds like Kiss Me In the Rain...
I listen to this at work when I don't have students. Such fond memories, takes me back to visiting my dad's office during the summer. I'll never forget playing secretary.
Don't know about you all but this was the music my parents played in the house 24/7 in the 60s and 70s so I associate with my entire life in those years.
The first parts of "Kiss me in the rain" sounds like something that would play on a 1990s sign on ident specifically on an Italian television channel
I love this music...... It is professionally performed with professional musicians
Thank you Josh and Chuck/SYSK!
I'm convinced the only people who could like this stuff are people whose most cherished memories happened to occur at the local shopping mall, and they've been subconsciously conditioned to associate the two.
Anyone here because of SYSK?
Thanks Josh and Chuck!
Stuff You Should Know

What a great Muzak collection! This is awesome quality, thanks for sharing ??,!
Smooth AF. I'm surprised by the quality of hits. Their attorneys were as good as their musicians.
This goes on repeat next time I have a party. ??
Edit: Fun Fact: My maternal grandmothers maiden name was Muzak. ????

31:00 I love how the back of the LP sleeve includes hospitals in its list of "commercial environments." So ... it's American then, I'm guessing? :)
I like how the song at 8:40 is just Sailing by Christopher Cross, but more muzak
Thank you Peter... Muzak is what i hear when the world is ending.... I play it when I'm at my deepest dark bottom.... Comforts me in a Fetal position.... Time for my medication...
I wish Muzak had done more promo compilations after this one - I'd love to hear more from the rest of the 80's in good quality!
sounds like some classic tunes in the Sims! such great relaxing stuff! :D
Your sound is Muzak to my ears.
Peter, I COMPLETELY am grateful for you posting these here. Honestly, I thought I was odd to be pining for productions like this but then I find out way more people than I ever would have thought enjoy this too. I play this at work (I do a lot of driving) and it's amazing how much better the work goes- no kidding. I arrive at my stops in a much better and easy-going mood. Did the folks at Muzak ever think that this music would be affecting people all these years later? YouTube is an amazing time machine.
0:48 - I think that's more like Buddy Hackett playing the trumpet solo than Bobby Hackett.. God I hate fluttering flute tri-chords...
