Austin Noise 2016 is a highly energetic and diverse album that showcases the best of the Austin music scene. Featuring tracks from a variety of artists, the album is a great representation of the city's vibrant and eclectic music culture.
The album opens with a bang, with the gritty and raw sound of "Stab Wounds" by the band Nervous Curtains. From there, the album takes listeners on a wild ride through a range of genres and styles, including punk, rock, and experimental electronic music.
One standout track is "Ode to a Nightingale" by the band Troller, which features haunting vocals and a brooding, atmospheric sound. Another highlight is "Bedroom Eyes" by the band Xander Harris, which has a pulsing, synth-driven beat that is both catchy and hypnotic.
