Review by Jack Maverick

Teresa De Matienzo's album E Garibaldine D O Mare A Marine E Tripule is a beautiful collection of traditional Italian folk songs. The album features De Matienzo's rich and powerful vocals, which are perfectly suited to the emotional and passionate nature of the songs.

The arrangements on the album are simple but effective, with acoustic instruments such as guitar, mandolin, and accordion providing a warm and inviting backdrop to De Matienzo's vocals. The songs themselves are a mix of lively dance tunes and more reflective ballads, with themes ranging from love and loss to the struggles of everyday life.

One of the standout tracks on the album is the title track, E Garibaldine D O Mare A Marine E Tripule, which tells the story of a group of women who join the Italian revolutionary Giuseppe Garibaldi on his quest for freedom. De Matienzo's performance on this track is particularly powerful, conveying both the bravery and the vulnerability of these women.
