Review by Kyle Shevlin

Feel No Fret, the seventh studio album by the Scottish funk and soul band Average White Band (AWB), is a delightful and groovy collection of tracks that showcase the group's mastery of their craft. Released in 1979, the album features a mix of funky dance tunes, soulful ballads, and jazz-infused instrumentals that are sure to get listeners moving and grooving.

The album's opening track, "When Will You Be Mine," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its catchy bassline, funky horns, and soulful vocals. Other standout tracks include "Ace of Hearts," a jazzy instrumental that features some impressive saxophone solos, and "Atlantic Avenue," a smooth and groovy tune that showcases the band's tight rhythm section.

One of the album's highlights is the soulful ballad "Please Don't Fall in Love," which features some beautiful harmonies and a heartfelt vocal performance by lead singer Alan Gorrie. Another standout track is "Walk On By," a cover of the classic Burt Bacharach and Hal David song that the band puts their own funky spin on.
