About Sigh
Avant-garde Black Metal unit Sigh were formed in 1989 in Japan by Mirai (voice, bass, keyboard), Satoshi (guitar) and Kazuki (drums). Inspired by Venom and other '80s Thrash bands, Sigh soon adopted the European approach of Black Metal. Gaining the interest of Norwegian mastermind Euronymous, they signed with the guitarists' Deathlike Silence Productions, but their debut for the label wasn't released until after Euronymous' death in 1993.

Comments
The band's 2001 album, Imaginary Sonicscape, features more plagiarism from Opeth ("Scarlet Dream"), Synth/Jazz incomplete meshes ("Nietzschean Conspiracy"), poppier variations of Draconian and Paradise Lost ("A Sunset Song"), ridiculous attempts at post-Black Sabbath swinging Stoner Rock ("Ecstatic Transformation"), prolix Dark Ambient/Neoclassical serialism ("Slaughtergarden Suite"), post-Deep Purple Hammond organ imitation ("Bring Back the Dead") and Tiamat/Celtic Frost Doom Metal filler with minimal contrapuntal touches ("Requiem - Nostalgia"). Talking about "avant-garde" when facing with such a desperate rehash of older bands is pure nonsense: some of these tracks could have actually worked if they hadn't chosen the "let's play-like-them" attitude, but in the end Sigh were progressively becoming less like a contribution of members and more Mirai Kawashima's solo project, and later releases would have only proven this.Highlights: "A Sunset Song", "Requiem - Nostalgia".
began first with infidel art and thought that was good... until i listened to shiki where i found out that infidel art is pretty bad and thought shiki was amazing... until i listened to imaginary sonicscapes. Sighs discography has me constantly changing my opinion of which of their albums are good
Masterpiece
Holy shit bruh?
I'm the 666 one
Back in 2003 when this came out I listened to while tripping balls. What a ride! I have flashbacks every time I listen to these songs…pure magic!
WHOOOOOO YEAH!!!
Just when I thought this 24 karat gold nugget of a band couldn't get any better after listening to ghastly funeral theatre and Scorn defeat.
This is one of their best albums too. Oohh I'm rather looking forward to hearing thier Venom tribute album too. ?(^u^) ?

Very creative and unique metal music! There are so many different styles of music mixed in, but it doesn’t feel jumbled. All of these different musical elements are incorpreated accordingly, making everything come together nicely. These songs are very catchy. My favorite track is Scarlet Dream. Consistently impressive songwriting throughout. Sigh is killer?
My Mushroom & Acid trip fave back in the day.. Beautiful album with deep moods..A Classic.
I hated this band until I heard this album. It’s a one off masterpiece. Ranks up there with some of the best metal albums all time, any genre.
The ad in the beginning of the video for the wine started “its a white male dominated space” fuck off youtube
The drums kinda sound terrible on this but this album is probably my favorite black metal release ever, but dodecahedron and ainsoph are really close bands
nice
