About Shawn Lov
Shawn Lov began his career as a recording artist in NJ with the release of his first LP 'Speak of the Devil' in 1994, which led to guest appearances including Video Music Box (1994-1995), performing as the opener for Mobb Deep, King Sun, Big Pun and Ol' Dirty Bastard (1995), and as a musical guest on The Jenny Jones Show (1998). By 1997, Shawn Lov was collaborating with the legendary Hip-Hop producer Tony D (of Poor Righteous Teachers and YZ fame) which led to the release of his second LP 'The G.O.D.' in 1998. It wasnt until Shawn Lov dropped his 'Never Never Land' LP in 2000 that he began topping charts online and quickly gained an underground following which expanded even further following his partnership with overseas label Nuffsaid. In 2004 'The Blackout of 1977' was released on Nuffsaid Records and introduced Shawn Lov to an international audience, followed up by the critically acclaimed 'Waiting for a Ghost' in 2007 which received praise by Rolling Stone magazine. In 2010 Shawn independently released 'The S.O.N.' - a self-produced EP to show and prove that he can hold his own on the boards as well as the mic. In 2016 Shawn released his final LP 'Escape from Never Never Land' a follow-up to the original LP he released almost two decades earlier. In 2019 Shawn Lov returned with the post-retirement EP 'Postcards from the Bay' proving he is still one of rawest, most impassioned rappers in the underground.

So underated , this shit deserves grammy's fa sho , one of the best lyrical hip-hop songs ?
This little old bald loser has bullied people relentlessly. Now he, his spineless, banana headed, freak toothed wife and trailer trash kids live in dumbfuck nowhere with a failed business. Karma always wins!!!!
I discover shawn lov off this song back in college 2000-2001ish...definitely made an impact and helped steer me towards more good hidden gems
Audio Dope Homie. Mad props. This joint is straight from the heart.

Was this joint rite here rereleased as a 12" in '03? I did a quick search for it with nuffsaid as a keyword and couldn't find it, would really like to get my hands on a copy... Or two! ;)
This beat is fantastic, BTW, not sure if its your handiwork, but that live bass (is that live bass?) is awesome!

Heard this song years ago and just randomly remembered it today good job brother! I'm seriously surprised this doesn't have more views, maybe people just don't appreciate good music ;) Regardless, it's real and solid. Cheers to your success! :)
