Parkway Drive - Ire

Review by Tysha White

Parkway Drive's album "Ire" is a hard-hitting and intense collection of tracks that showcase the Australian metalcore band at their best. The album features a range of heavy, aggressive riffs and breakdowns, as well as soaring choruses and emotive lyrics that speak to the band's personal experiences and struggles.

One standout track on the album is "Vice Grip," which features a catchy, anthemic chorus and driving instrumentation that will have listeners headbanging along. Other tracks like "Crushed" and "Dying to Believe" showcase the band's ability to blend heavy, pounding rhythms with melodic hooks and emotive vocals.

Parkway Drive has kicked things into a whole other gear with Ire. From the stadium sized-riffs of destroy to the sheer brutality of songs like Bottomfeeder and Vicious. The guitars have never been better, and each song has its own merits. It is a perfectly constructed metalcore album, and a note is not wasted. A computer couldn't make an album this flawless, and the way the drums, guitars and vocals flow together is astounding. No need to make this review complex; if you like Parkway Drive or metalcore in the least, Ire should have already graced your eardrums.

I know this might be a bit controversial, but fuck it. I think many bands should follow PWD lead and film music videos SkyDiving. What a fucking EPIC idea for a video. I always share this video with old metal head chucklefucks who are like "tHeRe iSn't nO MoAr gUuD MeTaL ThEsE DaYs hYuCk!!!!"
Like Check out these lads, Architects, Sleep Token. Fuck me man. Lorna Shore. Too Many to mention.

I remember I was at a metal fest at Mexico City and I listened this guys at the distance, I was going to see Lamb of god and returned to their stage, never regret that decision, this guys are impressive, one of the best gigs I’ve ever seen.

EPIC
Another reminder in regards to basic wilderness survival. Travel 20 miles in any direction and you'll find a metal or hard-core band shooting a video.
