Love this… thanks for posting.
Reminds me of David Bowie from the same era
Thank you so much for posting one of my favourite songs. I started listening to Noel a while back and finding this post was fab. Much appreciated???
This is not a UK track. It was recorded and released in the US.
Noel's cover of Cohen's Suzanne is terrific, but I still think Judy Collins' version is the very best. It's a wonderful song - one of many written by that poetic genius, the great Leonard Cohen.
Only just discovered this song but wow!!!!
terrible
Butchered it..with respect..RIP
WTF
ENCHANTING ... still. Thank you Leonard and Noel.
imlortal talent & lyrics.
I like Noel's windmill of my mind better than all other versions of the song, but I like Cohen's Suzanne better. The speed lacks the haunting and mystic atmosphere of the song and the slow tempo fits the ballad, because there is a story told and the listener should have more time to think about the words or to feel the emotions behind each word.
RIP to Noel Harrison as well (October 19, 2013) I've never heard another version of this song that is as haunting and poignant as Noel Harrison's.
I'd forgotten this song, thanks for the wonderful reminder.
He does it way too fast The best version by far is Judy Collins'

There's a photo of Noel Harrison before he passed. He has an uncanny resemblance to Jonathan Pryce now.
