Misery Loves Company is an excellent album by Mary Flower, showcasing her exceptional skills as a blues guitarist and singer. The album features a collection of original songs as well as covers of classic blues tunes, all expertly performed with a raw and authentic sound.
Flower's voice is soulful and emotive, perfectly complementing her intricate fingerpicking style on the guitar. The songs on the album range from slow and mournful ballads to upbeat and swinging numbers, each one telling a story of love, loss, and the struggles of everyday life.
The standout tracks on the album include the hauntingly beautiful "Runaway Train" and the foot-stomping "Can't Take It No More." The album also features some excellent collaborations with other musicians, such as the lively duet with David Jacobs-Strain on "Catch Me If You Can."
