About The Knack
Los Angeles-based Power Pop rock quartet formed in 1978. In 1979, the band had its first hit with "My Sharona," which was followed by "Good Girls Don't." Although The Knack initially broke up in 1982, the band members remained on good terms and reunited (and broke up) several more times. The original band members were (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), (lead guitar, backing vocals, keyboards), (bass), and (drums).

This song kind of explains why the Knack was compared to the Beatles, especially the vocals.
I don't think this was really the recorded version. Most studios do the instruments, no vocals, first and then add just vocals. Plus, these ain't the words I remember, "puts you in your place".

Wow. I'm looking at comments from yrs and yrs ago. You guys in the stone age or what? Anyways when I was in high school when they came out on the back of their album everyone thought they looked like the Beatles. They did sing A Hard Days Night really good though.

I got hold of this when it came out when I was 12 or 13 years old. I put it on full chuff and climbed the walls while bouncing around the room and singing along at the top of my lungs!!! I was enraptured!!

Great topic. Excellent vocal and instrumental performance. It reminds me of the British band Sweet, who influenced many bands in their style, glam, hard and progressive rock.
