Review by Calley Nelson

Jail House, the latest album by reggae artist Junior Reid, has been gaining attention from fans and critics alike. The album, which was released in 2019, is a powerful showcase of Reid's musical talent and his ability to tackle important social issues through his lyrics.

From the opening track, "Jail House," Reid sets the tone for the album with his signature blend of roots reggae and dancehall. The title track is a powerful indictment of the prison industrial complex, with Reid calling out the injustices of the system and the impact it has on communities of color.

Throughout the album, Reid continues to address social and political issues, including police brutality, poverty, and corruption. His lyrics are powerful and thought-provoking, and his delivery is passionate and emotive.

The production on Jail House is top-notch, with a mix of live instrumentation and electronic beats that create a dynamic and engaging sound. The album features collaborations with other reggae artists, including Chronixx and Jesse Royal, adding to the diversity of the sound.
