Stark Reality - Roller Coaster Ride

Review by 宮内 達也

Stark Reality's album Roller Coaster Ride is a brilliant mix of funk, jazz, and psychedelic rock that takes listeners on a thrilling musical journey. The band's experimental approach to music is evident in each track, with a range of instruments and sounds that make the album a unique and dynamic listening experience.

The opening track, "Say Brother," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its funky bassline and energetic percussion. The following track, "Rocket Ship," takes the listener on a psychedelic journey with its trippy guitar riffs and spaced-out vocals.

The album also features some standout instrumental tracks, such as "Satori Pt. 1" and "Satori Pt. 2," which showcase the band's exceptional musicianship and ability to create complex and layered compositions.

Right on. I like their song "Comrades and Dreams" put out by Peanut Butter Wolf on Stones Throw Records. 1st joint I heard, and it was too jovial to care about perfect vocal tones. Real stuff..!

I to stop listening to this shite from 27min onwards when I could tolerate his fucking annoying vocal yodelings no longer. I fucking enjoyed this band before I noticed how shit his voice is and what he tries to do with it. Also, some of the meandering bass solos are fucking gash. They do nothing. They mean nothing and sound like absolutely shite.
