Guitar Red - Fantasy

Review by VietNam BigHouse

Guitar Red's album "Fantasy" is a delightful collection of instrumental tracks that showcase the musician's impressive guitar skills. The album features a variety of styles, from bluesy riffs to jazzy melodies, all of which are executed with precision and passion.

One standout track is "Midnight Blues," which features a slow, sultry groove that builds to a fiery climax. Another highlight is "Funky Town," a funky jam that will get listeners grooving in their seats.

Throughout the album, Guitar Red's virtuosity is on full display, with intricate solos and inventive chord progressions. But what sets "Fantasy" apart from other guitar-centric albums is the emotional depth that Guitar Red brings to his playing. Whether he's playing a mournful ballad or an upbeat funk tune, there's a sense of heart and soul in every note.

Fancy! I was discussing this side with my mate only a few days ago, and bought the album only last week believe it or not! Both sides are nice, but this haunting little gem is a long time fave of mine.

Love this - despite the melody being seemingly inspired by Diana Ross & The Supremes' "Reflections"! Apparently the guy's been active since 1957! More power to him.
