Comments
Say what you want about the movie; the soundtrack is amazing. The music is magical and creates a layer of lore and depth to The Hobbit world. The soundtrack is distinctive and powerful, and makes the listener really feel like he's in the Shire, the Mines of Moriah, or any other place in Middle-Earth, depending on the song. The Hobbit Soundtrack proves that Howard Shore is one of the best film-score composers of our day. "Song of the Lonely Mountain" sounds truly epic, and is a clear highlight on this soundtrack. I highly recommend you watch this movie; the music sound best when in context with the film.
