Review by Jason Bunting

Pan Harmonie, the latest album from Belgian jazz drummer and composer Dré Pallemaerts, is a mesmerizing journey through a world of sound and rhythm. With his exceptional talent and artistry, Pallemaerts has crafted a collection of ten original compositions that are both innovative and deeply moving.

The album opens with "Rumble," a track that sets the tone for the rest of the record with its intricate rhythms and hypnotic melodies. From there, the listener is taken on a musical odyssey that ranges from the ethereal beauty of "Mirage" to the driving intensity of "Hypnotic." Throughout, Pallemaerts is joined by a group of exceptional musicians, including pianist Bram De Looze, bassist Lennart Heyndels, and saxophonist Joachim Badenhorst, all of whom contribute their own unique voices to the music.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Momentum," a piece that showcases Pallemaerts' exceptional drumming skills. With its complex rhythms and intricate interplay between the musicians, the track is a thrilling ride that will leave listeners breathless. Another highlight is "Lullaby," a hauntingly beautiful composition that features De Looze's delicate piano playing and Badenhorst's soulful saxophone.
