The Polecats' album, "John I'm Only Dancing," is a refreshing throwback to the rockabilly and punk rock sounds of the 1980s. The band's energy and enthusiasm are contagious, and their tight musicianship is evident throughout the album. The title track, a cover of a David Bowie song, is a standout, with its infectious beat and catchy chorus. Other highlights include the driving "Make a Circuit with Me" and the rollicking "Jeepster." The Polecats' blend of rockabilly, punk, and new wave influences makes for a unique and highly enjoyable listening experience. "John I'm Only Dancing" is a must-have for fans of the genre and a great introduction to the Polecats for new listeners.
