I grew up just outside of Pittsburgh and in the late 70s and early 80s, I would go out of my way to go see Donnie Iris and the Cruisers and also, the Michael Stanley Band. Great music back then. My 23 yo son is now a big fan of both. I’m hoping he’s going to do a cover

I had this record (and King Cool) back in the early 80's, and am now rediscovering them in you tube. What superb albums!

I grew up 30 miles from where Donnie lives...I love that he ended up staying regional. The rest of the country really can't get what his songs represented.
One of the best albums of the era

One of the greatest rock songs from one of the best rock vocalists ever. Did anyone hear it? Of course not. Just a select few play his music like its a morning fix. Iris has put out several excellent albums & at 67 he's still singing them better than the average 24 yr old. I played this for many people & they always say "what is this?" And they want copies. MCA Records what were you doing back then? You even let Chubby Checker's rockiest Springsteenish lp (A Change Is Gonna Come) flounder.
