About Babasmas

Gregory Babut, aka Babasmas, started his music journey in 2012. Since then, he's been growing slowly but consistently toward making the music he listens to and loves. It has been a rough path as he had no background in music and always has been a lazy piece of shit. Around 2016, he met Fel. A guitarist in love with both electronic and rock music. With that started a small series of collaboration between them. The result was 2 hybrid tracks and an electronic experiment. Both tracks had their limitations but were good enough to convince Babasmas that sticking to a single genre was a waste of time. 2 years later, he met Caturday, an educated music man, in a online community called fruityclub. Right away, they started to mess around together and made tracks for fun which resulted in Babasmas's Debut Album, A Turtle's Adventures. Written by Caturday and Produced by Babasmas, this resulted in an achievement he would've never dreamed of. As much as this debut album was to Babasmas, they decided on releasing more and collaborating together for the duration of their friendship. Caturday filled a void in Babasmas, and Babasmas did the same for Caturday. In 2020, they started a kickstarter with the goal of funding Caturday's Album. The Goal was reached and they raised more than they needed. With that, on November 1st, Spectrum was released. It is a multigenre album combining Jazz, Rock, Metal, Progressive, and Breackcore/Slam. The album is a political and social commentary on society. It is better than anything Caturday and Babasmas had dreamed of. The plans are uncertain but you will definetely hear from them again!
