Who woulda thunk traditional Greek folk music would become an iconic surf tune.
My english wife has never heard of them! I'm gob smacked!!!!
Some of those boards are huge
How these bands created this sound coming out of the do wop and Rosemary Clooney days is beyond me .Such a cool new sound not knocking older music but this resonates with me.so did British music.
The first band to use teeth to pick guitars and play behind their head etc !!
Bring back my teenage days when i would drive to the coast in my HR station wagon with this play at full volume
Australla's signature surfing song!
The 302nd number one hit in Australia.
One of the best examples of surf punk I’ve heard.

This Bombora is rather weak-structured compared to the USA surf bands of the time.
This definitely gives me old-school SpongeBob vibes.
My grandfather gifted me an original pressing of this album. Such a great man. Can only think of the great times he had listening to this record and plenty others. Rock on everyone ?
Holy shit, the guy at 1 minute 20 seconds! Did he cut that board straight from the biggest gumtree he could find?!
My brothers sent me a copy of this from Australia where they emigrated to in 1962. I was 15 and still in the UK and all my friends came around to listen to it...about twenty times a day. They couldn’t get a copy in the uk so l felt very privileged having my single. I eventually moved to Sydney myself three years later.
