About Toni Stricker
Composer, arranger and violinist.
Studied at Wiener Konservatorium, later got intrested in jazz and played in 's groups. From 1957 on, he started with own compositions for balett, theatre and TV. He worked with a lot of austrian musicians like , and . In the seventies, his main focus moved to Pannonian music. In 2008, he received the Golden Medal of Honor of the city Vienna.

Unserem "Panonischen Teufelsgeiger" mit einem Tag Verspätung alles Gute zum 80er.
Bezeichnend für die Gegenwart: Radio Wien gratulierte ihm, hat aber trotz moderner Möglichkeiten (so wie Youtube z. B.) nicht einmal ein Stück von ihm auf Lager, immerhin war er auch mit Joe Zawinul und Hans Salomon in der Jazztruppe von "Vera Auer"; und auch als Nicht-Jazz-Fan kennt man "Birdland" genauso wie "Unsquared Dance" oder "Take Five
