Wulkanaz, the Swedish black metal project of prolific musician and artist, Johan Bäckman, has released its latest album, HaglaNaudizEisaz. The album is a haunting and atmospheric journey through the depths of Nordic mythology and folklore.
The album opens with the track "Hagla," which immediately sets the tone for the rest of the record with its driving percussion and raw, distorted guitar riffs. The vocals are delivered in a harsh, guttural style that perfectly complements the aggressive instrumentation.
As the album progresses, the listener is taken on a journey through a variety of moods and textures. "Naudiz" is a slower, more atmospheric track that features haunting clean vocals and a more melodic guitar line. "Eisaz," on the other hand, is a fast-paced, frenetic track that showcases Bäckman's impressive guitar skills.
