Vitamin X's latest album, Secrets Of Life, is a thrilling ride through the world of hardcore punk. The Dutch band has been around for over two decades, and they continue to deliver the goods with this latest release.
From the opening track, "Modern Man," it's clear that Vitamin X is firing on all cylinders. The band's trademark blend of fast-paced riffs, thundering drums, and politically charged lyrics is in full force, and they never let up throughout the album's 12 tracks.
Standout songs include "Ready To Burn," which features a catchy chorus and some blistering guitar work, and "Human Plague," which is a scathing critique of modern society set to a pummeling beat.
While the album is undeniably heavy and aggressive, there's also a sense of fun and energy that runs throughout. Tracks like "Rollercoaster Ride" and "Secrets Of Life" are positively anthemic, and the band seems to be having a blast playing them.
