Various - Quadrophenia Music From The Soundtrack Of The Who Film

Review by Juan Antonio Pavón

Quadrophenia Music From The Soundtrack Of The Who Film is a phenomenal album that showcases the best of British rock music from the 1960s. Featuring various artists, including The Who, The Kinks, and The High Numbers, the album captures the essence of the mod subculture and the rebellious spirit of youth.

The album is a perfect companion to the film Quadrophenia, which tells the story of a young mod named Jimmy and his struggles to find his place in the world. The music perfectly complements the film's themes of alienation, frustration, and disillusionment, and makes for a truly immersive experience.

The standout tracks on the album include The Who's "Love Reign O'er Me," a powerful ballad that showcases lead singer Roger Daltrey's incredible vocal range, and The Kinks' "You Really Got Me," a classic rock anthem that still sounds fresh and exciting today.

Yah, not only is instruments and rock slowly turning to pop and electronically instruments…the heart&(S) out of writing on paper and crafting songs unknowing if it’s good or not, but just following your gut and getting feedback from actual people, and crafting the song like it was a large ton of marble and all you got is a hammer and chisel…(unless lucky enough to tap into the “god song”, when it just flows from hands to song done in minutes…as artists have constantly claimed).

It was 1979 and I was getting the train to New York from north Philadelphia. To see the greatest rock band ever THE WHO. AND I AM NOT JOKING THE NEXT TRAIN WAS AT 5:15 .I DID TWO QUAALUDES AND I ENJOYED SINGING THIS SONG FOR THE NEXT HOUR UNTIL WE GOT TO MADISON SQUARE GARDEN. IT'S REALLY NUTS THE WAY SHIT WORKS OR COMES TOGETHER. BUT FOR THE NEXT TRAIN TO BE AT 5:15 UNBELIEVABLE. OHH THE SHOW WAS LIKE THE OTHER 4 TIMES I SAW THE WHO. BUT PEOPLE IN NEW YORK THEY JUST SIT THERE. LIKE THEY ARE AT THE MOVIES. SAW THE WHO IN PHILLY AT VETERANS STADIUM 80+ THOUSAND PEOPLE AND NOBODY WAS SITTING DOWN. SHIT BEFORE THE WHO CAME OUT WE HAD THE WAVE GOING AND IN THE PAPER THE NEXT DAY. PETE TOWNSHEND SAID HE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT IN HIS LIFE. THE PEOPLE WERE ENTERTAINING THEMSELVES. NOBODY OPEN UP FOR THE WHO IT WAS JUST THE WHO. BUT 80+ THOUSAND PEOPLE JUST STARTED DOING THE WAVE. AND IT WAS A GREAT WAVE TO I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT. BUT NEW YORK IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO SEE A CONCERT I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY SAY I WAS THERE TO SEE THE GREATEST LIVE ROCK BAND EVER. THEY JUST SAT THERE LIKE IT WAS THE MOVIES.
