The tracks are all remastered and sound crisp and clear, allowing listeners to fully appreciate the intricate melodies and rhythms of each song.
The album opens with the upbeat and funky "Black Byrd" by Donald Byrd, which sets the tone for the rest of the album. Other standout tracks include "Montara" by Bobby Hutcherson, which features a catchy melody and a groovy bassline, and "Tidal Wave" by Ronnie Laws, which has a smooth and sultry vibe.
