Graeme Strachan, aka "Shirley" (born January 2, 1952, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia - died August 29, 2001, Mount Archer, Queensland, Australia) was an Australian singer, songwriter, radio and television presenter. Lead vocalist and frontman for the 1970s Australian band . During the period that Skyhooks were the country's number one band, he became a household name and had a number of solo hits during that period.
After he left the band, he started a career in television as the compere of his own children's TV show "Shirl's Neighbourhood". He did a stint of hosting the weekly "Lotto" draws, breakfast radio shows and later hosted the do-it-yourself TV show "Our House" (he was well qualified for this position as he had trained as a carpenter prior to joining "Skyhooks") and was still in this role when he died in a helicopter crash in Queensland.
