Review by Dan Meyer

All Around The World by Scotty McKay is a delightful album that showcases the artist's versatility and range. From rockabilly to country to pop, McKay effortlessly weaves together different genres to create a cohesive and enjoyable listening experience.

The album kicks off with the upbeat and catchy title track, "All Around The World," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. McKay's smooth vocals and lively guitar riffs are a joy to listen to, and the lyrics are both fun and relatable.

Throughout the album, McKay showcases his songwriting skills with tracks like "Heartbreakin' Mama" and "Lonely Nights," which feature poignant lyrics and catchy melodies. The album also includes some great covers, such as "Blue Suede Shoes" and "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Cry (Over You)," which McKay puts his own spin on.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Goodbye Baby," a heartfelt ballad that showcases McKay's emotional depth and vulnerability. The song is beautifully arranged, with lush strings and haunting harmonies that perfectly complement McKay's vocals.

I'd always read that Scotty McKay was his real name , and that he changed it when he joined The Blue Caps. I always took Max Lipscomb to be an homage to Mance Lipscomb.

All around the world I got blisters on my feet
Tryin' to find my baby n' bring her home with me
You better run into me baby and be convinced
If you don't run into me, woman, you ain't got no sense

'Cause you know I love you, baby
Well, you know I love you, baby
Well, if I don't love you, baby
Grits ain't groceries, eggs ain't poultrys
And Mona Lisa was a man

Yes! One of the best versions of "All Around The World (Grits Ain't Groceries)" and one of the best Batman '66 novelty rockers. I'll never forget falling asleep in front of the TV , watching the late night Horror show , then finding this on tape I left running in the VCR , the next day.
