About Rossini
Born: 1792-02-29 (Pesaro, Italy)
Died: 1868-11-13 (Passy, Paris, France)
Gioachino Antonio Rossini was an Italian composer who gained fame for his 39 operas, although he also wrote many songs, some chamber music and piano pieces, and some sacred music.
He set new standards for both comic and serious opera before retiring from large-scale composition while still in his thirties, at the height of his popularity.

Since people kept COMPLAINING about the flashing lights at the end of this video, I decided to re-upload it with the lights edited out... personally I think the lights are a beautiful artistic touch and could stare at them for hours... but I guess some people disagree, so here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjNudklyNOo

Eplepsy warning at the end

Why just play the overture/opening of the opera. The music is nice but the main part of the opera is worth listening too also. Who cares that it is Italian.
I listen to this while reading chapter 89 of the count of Monte Cristo, which makes it even better.
That's my last name!

I’m sampling the storm part. No one can stop me
11:00 There is a mini call-back to the storm sequence with the trombones and trumpets doing one more final mini crescendo kind of lick...
..MAESTRO ROSSINI ,IL SIGNOR CRESCENDO..????

I like this the full version. It reminds me of the dawn, morning, afternoon and the evening into the night when things reach the crescendo !!! By the way I like the lights at the end it's as close as a text could get to translating the greatness of the music ?? at the finale. Sought of like how the Empire State Building expresses a holiday through it's lights because a building can't shout.
The closest thing in pop rock classical music would be the album Days of Future Passed by Moody Blues where it starts with the morning and proceeds through the afternoon and ends with their classic Nights in White Satin.
