I’m 64 my parents have long since passed away. I remember settling the estate when Momma passed away. We divided all our parents worldly things. Why did the Tupperware Popsicle Molds make me tear up? Why did she save that paper with my hand traced on it when I was 5? So many memories big and small! Nothing left but memories brick wood and stone!
There’s a good video of him playing this live at Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013. The faces of Robert and the players also tell the story.

I didn't understand this song until my parents got divorced a couple years ago and my brothers moved in with my mom and it was me and my dad in that great big old house by our selves.....First time I heard this song after the divorce I was driving and had to pull over and cry. Thank you Robert, this song helped me move on.
