Review by Brett Spry

The album "Clarinet Marmalade Sweet Sue Just You" by Red Nichols and His Five Pennies is a classic jazz album that showcases the talents of the legendary trumpeter and his band. The album features a mix of traditional jazz standards and original compositions, all performed with the signature style and energy of the Five Pennies.

The standout tracks on the album include the title track "Clarinet Marmalade," which features a lively clarinet solo by Pee Wee Russell, and the upbeat "Sweet Sue Just You," which showcases Nichols' virtuosic trumpet playing. Other highlights include the swinging "Dinah" and the soulful "Jazz Me Blues."

About Red Nichols And His Five Pennies

Red Nichols and his Five Pennies were one of the most popular bands of the New York Jazz scene of the 1920s.
