Raul De Souza - Sweet Lucy

Sweet Lucy is an outstanding album by Brazilian trombonist Raul De Souza. It features a unique blend of jazz, funk, and Brazilian rhythms that will leave the listener mesmerized. The album opens with the title track "Sweet Lucy," a funky tune that sets the tone for the entire album. The horn section is tight, and the rhythm section is groovy, making it impossible not to move to the beat.
De Souza's trombone playing is exceptional throughout the album, and his solos are always tasteful and soulful. The track "Fiesta" is a perfect example of De Souza's ability to blend Brazilian rhythms with jazz. The percussion is outstanding, and the horns play with precision, creating a festive atmosphere.
"Wild and Shy" is a beautiful ballad that showcases De Souza's lyrical playing. The track features a lovely melody that is played with sensitivity and emotion. The rhythm section provides a gentle backdrop for De Souza's trombone, creating a dreamy and romantic atmosphere.
