Quality Pollution - QP Demo 16

Review by Rosalie Ruardy

Quality Pollution's QP Demo 16 is a hard-hitting album that showcases the band's unique blend of punk, metal, and hardcore. The album features ten tracks that are full of energy and aggression, with lyrics that tackle themes of social and political injustice.

From the opening track "No Justice No Peace" to the closing song "Revolt," QP Demo 16 is a non-stop barrage of heavy riffs, thundering drums, and raw vocals. The band's musicianship is top-notch, with each member contributing to the overall sound and intensity of the album.

One standout track is "System Failure," which features a catchy chorus and a blistering guitar solo. Another highlight is "Toxic Waste," a fast-paced song that addresses the dangers of pollution and environmental destruction.

Notes

  • From Bandcamp:
  • "The debut release from internet-based band Quality Pollution.
  • We strive to bring together influences from many styles of both hardcore and metal to create a savage middle ground of metalcore and grindcore. This album in particular draws a lot from crossover, metalcore and powerviolence on the punk side and thrash metal, death metal and stoner metal on the metal side.
  • Demo '16 has a somewhat loose feel to it, as the songs were crafted and written from taking general ideas of what the songs were going to be like and then improvising from that point forward. This resulted in a odd and loose vibe in many areas of the EP.
  • We hope you enjoy our first EP. Spread the word around if you do!"
