"Disc Jockey Record NOT FOR SALE" printed on labelsAbout Paul Mitchell Trio
The Trio formed in 1960 and were the house band at Paschal's La Carrousel, Atlanta's first modern jazz club. The trio played there four years, opening for some of the biggest names in music including Ramsey Lewis, Aretha Franklin and Julian "Cannonball" Adderley
In March, 1964 the Atlanta Playboy Club opened with the Paul Mitchell Trio in the Living Room. The trio played there for three years. It was at the Playboy club that Dante Stephensen saw the Paul Mitchell Trio and invited Mitchell to move to Dante's Down the Hatch before the restaurant/club before it opened, Dante's went on to become an institution in Atlanta and unique in the nation.
The Trio is discussed and featured in the documentary made at the closing of Dante's and the retirement of it's owner Dante Stephenson.

My favorite song is Another Way to Feel. I always felt I knew this man. But I dont.
My mom took me to hear his trio once while he taught at Southwest High .
I miss him. His music and his way of teaching young musicians...at Emory University. He was so cool.
heck of a band director too (harper high school 1963-1967)
Underrated! I never met him because he was gone when I first heard of him. A friend took me to Dante's Down The Hatch where he use to perform in Atlanta...I met one of his students John Robinson who performed there till Dante closed the restaurant.
My wife and I of 41 years, enjoyed listening to Paul Mitchell Trio @ Dante’s back in 70s, 80s…we had fondue, the only thing I could afford on the menu, LOL!!!
Another Way to Feel
The PM trio was at Dante's Down the Hatch for about 25 years, give or take, timeless sound.
My first exposure to jazz at Dante's in Underground Atl.I was the dishwasher for about six years. RL Meadows
The musical equivalent of Wonder bread.
How did you get this? I've been looking for more of their stuff forever.
