The Paul Mitchell Trio's album, Live At The Atlanta Playboy Club, is an exceptional jazz recording that captures the trio's incredible talent and energy. The album features Paul Mitchell on piano, Ray Armando on percussion, and Jim Richardson on bass, who together create a rich and dynamic sound that is both sophisticated and soulful.

The album opens with the upbeat and lively "Caravan," which showcases the trio's impressive technical skill and precision. They seamlessly move from one section to the next, creating a vibrant and exciting performance. The album also features a stunning rendition of "My Funny Valentine," which is performed with a delicate and romantic touch.

Throughout the album, the trio displays a deep understanding of jazz music and its history. Their performances are steeped in tradition, but they also bring a fresh and modern approach to the music. The album's highlights include "Take the A Train," "On Green Dolphin Street," and "The Nearness of You," which all feature stunning solos and impeccable rhythm.

Underrated! I never met him because he was gone when I first heard of him. A friend took me to Dante's Down The Hatch where he use to perform in Atlanta...I met one of his students John Robinson who performed there till Dante closed the restaurant.
