About The Nielsen Pearson Band
Country Rock / West Coast Band, formed 1978.
In the same category as Richard Page and Steve George (Pages, Mr Mister) and Bugatti-Musker you have Reed Nielsen and Mark Pearson and their teamwork was called Nielsen Pearson. They released three albums, and re-released Nielsen Pearson and Blind Luck on one cd at the label Vivid Sound Corporation, Japan.
It started back in 1978 with the release of The Nielsen Pearson Band. This album is more in the country music style, but you could hear the roots to the west coast music. In 1980 they brought Peter Wolf, Richard Landis, Tom Scott and David Foster into the studio to work on the second album. In the same year that it was released, the album became successful for Nielsen Pearson, including the tune Annie.
Their 3rd album features Steve Lukather, Michael Landau, Carlos Vega, Neil Stubenhaus, Robbie Buchanan, Lenny Castro, Joe Chemay and others. This release features the tunes Hasty Heart, Sentimental, Fade Away and Too Got To Last. Nielsen Pearson broke up after the 3rd album.

Comments
This album is magic.
The most amazing thing to me is how good these guys sounded live. Truly great musicians that just couldn't be fully appreciated by the record buying public. I'm glad I was around to witness the magic. A shame Epic didn't stay with them, and Capitol broke them up.
Great band
I'm kinda bummed no one has posted *Best Times*
This takes me back to the Oasis Ball Room where my older brother would sneak me in with his expired drivers license to see the "best local band he ever heard". Little did I know that just a few years later Steve Boutte' would become a lifelong fried and fellow working musician in the Sacto area. Love you Steve, and though you'll be in Arizona and I'll be in Arkansas, I know we'll stay in touch.
Nielsen Pearson is my favourite band since 1985, wonderful deep songs
These guys used to play Sacramento bars back in the day. They were awesome.
...and Cal Expo when Steve sat in on drums.
Thank You (!) for posting this song. It's been in my head for years. Great tune that winds up available again, I hope.
I'm looking for a copy of this album.
My brother knew these guys and turned me on to them many years ago. I have always loved their music. They should have been huge.
I had this album, long ago. Loved it. They were a tight band.
