Mainstay - Become Who You Are

Review by katrina silvano

Mainstay's album Become Who You Are is a powerful and introspective work that showcases the band's talent for crafting emotionally resonant rock music. From the opening track "These Pages" to the closing notes of "Where Your Heart Belongs," the album is a journey through the ups and downs of life, love, and self-discovery.

The band's sound is characterized by soaring guitars, driving rhythms, and lead singer Justin Anderson's emotive vocals. Tracks like "Take Away" and "This Could Be" showcase the band's ability to craft catchy hooks and memorable choruses, while songs like "Believe" and "Away From You" delve into deeper, more introspective themes.

@Stainlegend The bible definitely paints it a bit differently. Thankfully, It's a very clear picture! Apart from Him we are indeed failures, capable of accomplishing nothing, much less pleasing God. However, when we become His children, we become new creatures -- no longer of the lineage of Adam -- and receive a measure of His spirit which enables us to do all things! Christ said, "Be perfect as I am perfect, and holy as I am holy." That's our goal. He just uses our mistakes along the way :)

@Stainlegend I think it's that your mistakes do not define you. So each time that you fall, you start to shed the mistakes and sins that are not a part of you. God, after all, does not see us as failures.

@Stainlegend its both growing out of the failures to became who God created you to be by his love and grace, because some of us need to stumble and fall before we get the message but through it all he protects us.

I can't begin to describe how accurately this song describes where I'm at in life. I truly believe God is blessing your ministry, and I thank Him for that. Keep on keeping on! You guys rock!

@21dayfast That's funny you mention Tonic. I came to hear this song because I just heard "take me as I am" by Tonic and I had to see how similar they are. Pretty much the same melodies and chords, only a different key and slower tempo!
