The Lucksmiths - Greatest Hits

Review by Kelly e Felipe Oliveira

The album Greatest Hits by Lucksmiths is a compilation of the band's most popular songs from their career. The album features 20 tracks that showcase the band's indie-pop sound and clever lyrics. The album opens with the catchy "T-Shirt Weather" and continues with fan favorites like "The Chapter in Your Life Entitled San Francisco" and "Sunlight in a Jar." The album also includes some lesser-known tracks like "Camera-Shy" and "A Hiccup in Your Happiness" that are just as enjoyable. The album is a perfect introduction to the band's music for new listeners and a great collection for longtime fans. The Lucksmiths' Greatest Hits is a must-have for any indie-pop lover's music collection.

About The Lucksmiths

Indie Pop/Rock band from Melbourne Australia. They were formed in March 1993 by Marty Donald on guitar, Mark Monnone on bass guitar and Tali White on drums and lead vocals. Louis Richter (ex-Mid State Orange) joined on guitar in 2005. They released eight studio albums, First Tape (1 September 1993), The Green Bicycle Case (July 1995), What Bird Is That? (September 1996), A Good Kind of Nervous (1997), Why That Doesn't Surprise Me (5 March 2001), Naturaliste (10 March 2003), Warmer Corners (4 April 2005) and First Frost (2008), before disbanding in August 2009. The group provided witty, intelligent lyrics, a strong melodic sense and a jangly pop sound harkening back to early-1980s bands such as The Smiths and The Go-Betweens. members: Marty Donald (guitar) Mark Monnone (bass) Tali White (drums, lead vocals) Louis Richter (guitar)
