Kinetic Element - Travelog

Review by Jocelyn Viens

Kinetic Element's album Travelog takes listeners on a musical journey that is both captivating and thought-provoking. From the opening track "War Song" to the closing "Into the Lair," the album showcases the band's ability to seamlessly blend different genres, including progressive rock, jazz, and classical music.

The musicianship on this album is exceptional, with each member of the band bringing their unique talents to the table. Guitarist Mike Visaggio's intricate solos and keyboardist Peter Matuchniak's melodic lines are particularly noteworthy. The rhythm section, consisting of bassist Mark Tupko and drummer Michael Murray, provides a solid foundation for the band's sound.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Her," an emotional ballad that showcases vocalist Michelle Schrotz's stunning voice. The song's lyrics are heartfelt and poignant, and Schrotz's delivery is both powerful and vulnerable.

Another standout track is the instrumental "Vision Serenade," which features a beautiful piano melody and intricate guitar work. The song builds to a climactic finish that is both satisfying and exhilarating.
