Review by James Murphy

Favorite Operatic Arias by Jussi Björling is a stunning album that showcases the incredible talent of the Swedish tenor. Björling's voice is rich, powerful, and emotive, and he brings a sense of passion and drama to each of the arias he performs.

The album features a range of classic operatic pieces, including selections from Verdi's La traviata and Rigoletto, Puccini's Tosca, and Bizet's Carmen. Björling's performances are full of nuance and subtlety, with each note carefully crafted to convey the emotions of the piece.

One of the standout tracks on the album is Björling's rendition of "Nessun Dorma" from Puccini's Turandot. His soaring voice is perfectly suited to this iconic aria, and he imbues it with a sense of desperation and longing that is truly moving.
