Review by angie tillman

Chicago's Jimmy Rogers Sings The Blues is a timeless album that showcases the incredible talent of blues legend Jimmy Rogers. The album is a masterful display of Rogers' soulful vocals and virtuosic guitar playing, which are complemented by a stellar backing band featuring some of the best musicians in the business.

From the opening notes of "Walking By Myself," it's clear that Rogers is in top form, delivering a powerful performance that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The songs on Chicago's Jimmy Rogers Sings The Blues cover a range of moods and themes, from the upbeat shuffle of "Blues All Day Long" to the mournful ballad "Sloppy Drunk."

Throughout the album, Rogers' guitar playing is nothing short of breathtaking, with his nimble fingers dancing across the strings to create a rich tapestry of sound. His vocals are equally impressive, with a raw, emotional quality that perfectly captures the spirit of the blues.
