About J Spencer
J. Spencer, a 90's hip-hop/jazz fusion saxophone player from Oakland, CA, started via Motown Records MoJazz. He was the forerunner of the new age in jazz and rap. This can be heard in A Little Bit of Hip-Hop / A Little Bit of Jazz, as one track on his debut album "Chimera".
A young pioneer of the jazz fusion movement will always be remembered. His untimely death in 2005, will keep us wondering what couldve come from this innovative young artist.
