Badass drummer...
It was indeed at the Soap Aid aftershow party when McNabb got beaten up by the bouncers, just a quick use of google will point you in the direction of 3 or 4 different newspaper articles regarding it!!
It was in the party afterwards.
Dudes singing, playing a guitar and even working a vintage arp string synthesizer!! Not thats impressive!!!
Oh wow, this has taken me back to my teenage years! I was there right at the front!
yes it was larks, but the gig he got beaten up was soap aid in st helens
Ian McNabb is God
I was at this gig at the park bottles where thrown at janis long and nick heywood. excellent.
Sound a bit like the Teardrops
I saw these guys in Berkeley, California. in a very small club. Absolutely fantastic band! Those really were the good old days ... If they were from the British Isles and had a weird name, I went to see them. Never got proven wrong ....
I lived in Liverpool in the early-mid eighties and I just assumed that music would carry on evolving and improving and that there was nothing that special about the bands I was watching and listening to- WRONG!
Oh man. That's a treasure. What I would do to have witnessed those incredibly talented and original early 80's English Bands. What an exciting time. Thanks for posting. ~G
Why haven't they done this again in the year of culture? They should have bands on in the park again!!!!
One of my fave songs EVER
