Review by Elvira van der Drift-Batenburg

Hog Heaven's latest album, "Theme From A Thought," is a captivating and thought-provoking musical journey. The album features a range of musical styles and influences, from classic rock to blues and folk, that come together to create a unique and cohesive sound.

The album's opening track, "The Road," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its powerful guitar riffs and driving rhythm. Other standout tracks include "Rollin' On," a lively and upbeat tune that showcases the band's ability to create catchy hooks, and "In The End," a haunting ballad that showcases the band's emotional depth.

Throughout the album, Hog Heaven demonstrates their impressive musicianship and songwriting skills. The lyrics are introspective and poetic, touching on themes of love, loss, and the human experience.

On steel guitar slide, Buddy Cage from Toronto Ontario Canada! I suppose he's best known for his work with New Riders of the Purple Sage. But I remember seeing him with Anne Murray back in the day. Check out his slide work on The Great Speckled Bird debut also.

Pete and I were such great friends... God took him too soon, he never knew he had a heart murmur, and God took him playing golf... The potential of this group was unbelievable, if Tommy didn't step in it's way !!!!

Thanks for posting this. Hog Heaven was a group a little ahead of the curve in 1970. (RIP Ronnie Hand and Pete Lucia.)
