Review by Olga Laguta

Hazell Dean's A Tribute To Abba is a delightful album that pays homage to the legendary Swedish pop group. The album features 12 tracks, all of which are Abba classics that have been given a new lease of life by Dean's powerful vocals and modern production techniques.

From the upbeat and infectious "Dancing Queen" to the soulful and emotional "The Winner Takes It All," Dean's renditions of these timeless classics are nothing short of spectacular. The album is a perfect blend of nostalgia and modernity, with Dean's unique style adding a fresh twist to the Abba classics.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)," which features a pulsating beat and catchy chorus that will have listeners dancing along in no time. Another highlight is "Knowing Me, Knowing You," which showcases Dean's impressive vocal range and emotional depth.

For a remake this is in a class of its own.

Hazell Dean has a quality of her own, and she do full justice to this song.

Most of this album is great. Case in point: her cover of "The Way Old Friends Do" is the best cover I've ever heard and is truly wonderful in its own right. This, however...it sounds like cheap mariachi karaoke, in the vein of the Macarena. This song needs to be slow and calm. It does not work any other way...

No not at all. I do know though that after listening to this album, this was the one song that I couldn't get out of my head

Interesting spin, but I think the lyrical content would have been a tad too racy for radio, even back in the late 90's. With lines like ''Let your body be the velvet of the night.'', the BBC probably would have blacklisted the song.
