Frog Eyes - Emboldened Navigator

Emboldened Navigator is the latest offering from Canadian indie rock band Frog Eyes. The album, released in 2018, is a dynamic and often unpredictable journey through a wide range of musical styles and moods.
At times, the album is hauntingly beautiful, with sparse instrumentation and delicate vocals. Tracks like "Sleek as the Day is Done" and "Idea Man" showcase lead singer Carey Mercer's impressive vocal range and evocative lyrics.
But Emboldened Navigator is also unafraid to get loud and experimental. Songs like "Don't Give Up Your Dreams" and "The Idiot's Idiotic Storm" feature frenzied guitar riffs and unpredictable tempo changes.
Throughout the album, Frog Eyes showcases a willingness to take risks and push boundaries. The result is a collection of songs that feels both familiar and fresh, with nods to classic rock and folk influences as well as more contemporary indie sounds.
