One of the most successful Latin American bands to crossover into the English-language market. They helped pave the way of success for many other Latin artists.
Started by then, bandleader and accordion player, , as the Miami Latin Boys, in 1975, as a weekend job.
The group name changed a year later to Miami Sound Machine, when Emilio invited a female singer, and her cousin , to join the band after a well performed audition on stage. In 1977, the group recorded their first album for a local label, Records. Emilio would marry Gloria, a year later.
In 1980, CBS signed them to their new Latin American label, and 1984's "Dr. Beat" disco smash, would lead the way to a deal with major CBS label, .
The band, through its course has undergone many musician changes and in 1989, would go uncredited, when recorded as a solo artist.

Come back baby!
SU-SU-SUR-RENDER TO ME, SO CATCHY, LOVE IT!
Like this a lot!
Classic Gloria Estefan! My dad used to sell her albums and she was always one my favorites! Many did not understand her crazy bossa nova music at first but after a short time they got the hang of it and WoW the rest of the superstardom is all history now!
My favourite Gloria song?
This is my favorite song on that album. Half the songs on it were hits; this wasn't even a single. I wouldn't make it long as a music producer. :P
Almost crossing the line into Smooth-jazz, as per Swing-out Sister or Level-42. Very catchy and spirited
Top stuff. This song is ace.
I don't know what it is... but I can imagine an edited version of this fitting perfectly with a tv show intro of the 80's.... like some teen show or something....
My favourite track! Love the piano at the end.
I remember them performing a medley of their hits at the American Music Awards in the 80's and this song has always stuck with me. I was just a young kid then and I knew the song was fire.

Where are those 80's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty beautiful song....
I love this song!!!!!! I miss the 80's :(
Wowwwwwww how I ? them?????????
