Review by Salem Alsurur

Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's album Stabat Mater Salve Regina Dixit Dominus is a masterpiece of Baroque music. The album features three of Pergolesi's most famous compositions, each showcasing his unique style and talent for vocal composition.

The Stabat Mater, in particular, is a standout piece on the album, with its hauntingly beautiful melodies and emotional depth. The Salve Regina and Dixit Dominus are equally impressive in their intricate harmonies and soaring vocal lines.

The album is expertly performed by the Choir of King's College, Cambridge, and the Academy of Ancient Music, under the direction of conductor Stephen Cleobury. The choir's rich, expressive vocals perfectly capture the emotional intensity of Pergolesi's music, while the orchestra provides a lush and vibrant accompaniment.
