Gateless Gate's album Near North is a captivating and atmospheric journey through soundscapes that transport listeners to far-off places. The album is a blend of ambient, drone, and experimental music, with each track offering something unique and different.
The album opens with "Blue Mountains," a track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. It's a slow-building piece that starts with soft, ethereal sounds and gradually builds to a crescendo of swirling synths and otherworldly effects. Other standout tracks include "Ancient Land," which features haunting vocals and a pulsing beat, and "Waves of Light," which is a dreamy, ambient piece that evokes images of shimmering seas and starry skies.
