Review by Burt Polson

Backyard Poets, the latest album from Fabian Gisler, is a mesmerizing collection of contemporary jazz tracks that will leave listeners feeling both relaxed and invigorated. The album features a mix of original compositions and covers, all of which showcase Gisler's impressive skills as a saxophonist and composer.

The album's opening track, "Backyard Poets," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its smooth, melodic saxophone lines and intricate rhythms. Gisler's bandmates, including pianist Alex Hendriksen and drummer Dominik Burkhalter, provide the perfect backdrop for his solos, adding depth and texture to each track.

Other standout tracks include "The Arrival," a hauntingly beautiful ballad that showcases Gisler's emotional range as a musician, and "The Great Unknown," a lively, upbeat track that will have listeners tapping their feet and nodding their heads along to the infectious beat.
