Review by Ramil Navidad

Deep Purple's In Live Concert At The Royal Albert Hall is a must-have for any fan of classic rock. The album captures the band at the peak of their powers, performing some of their most iconic songs in a venue that is equally legendary.

From the opening notes of "Highway Star" to the epic finale of "Smoke on the Water," Deep Purple delivers a blistering performance that showcases their incredible musicianship and dynamic stage presence. Ian Gillan's vocals soar above Ritchie Blackmore's searing guitar riffs, while Jon Lord's keyboard wizardry and Ian Paice's thunderous drumming drive the music forward with relentless energy.

The album also features some lesser-known gems, such as "Lazy" and "Space Truckin'," which are given new life in the live setting. The band's improvisational skills are on full display, as they stretch out and explore the boundaries of their songs with thrilling solos and jam sessions.

But what really sets In Live Concert At The Royal Albert Hall apart is the palpable sense of excitement and camaraderie between the band and the audience. The cheers and applause are deafening, and you can feel the energy in the room building with each passing song.

Tanto en armonía como en solféo se nota la influencia de Johann Sebastian Mastropiero

Finally! I've found a version with the uncut drum solo! That bugs me so much that the video footage cut Ian's drum solo down by a couple minutes!

por alguna extraña razón, le faltan cosas al solo de paice. Falta la parte del encore, y no esta ese aplauso del publico cuando pasa al cencerro.

i may be mistaken but I don't believe this album was released in the U.S.
I found it in Argentina when I was there in 1972 on a mission for the Mormon church. I had music by Wagner, Tschaikovsky, this album and Yellow Brick road. Not mormon any more but still have this music

I have been listening to this record (frequently) since it came out in 1969 or so. It continues to be one of my favourites. Well-executed by all. For those who are die-hard DP fans, at the 30th anniversary of this concert, they played the whole thing again, though that time with Steve Morse as their guitarist. He brings a very different voice to the instrument, but some equally brilliant playing.
