Champs' latest album, Music For Films About Rock, is a captivating exploration of the intersection between rock music and cinema. The album is a cinematic masterpiece, with each track taking the listener on a journey through different film genres, from westerns to sci-fi thrillers.
The album opens with the atmospheric "Prelude", which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its haunting melody and ethereal soundscapes. From there, the album takes off with the energetic "Desire", a track that wouldn't be out of place in a high-octane action sequence.
Throughout the album, Champs' use of instrumentation is impressive, with the band effortlessly blending electronic and acoustic sounds to create a unique sonic landscape. The album's standout track, "Starry Eyes", is a perfect example of this, with its driving beat, soaring vocals, and dreamy synth lines.
